We have agreed to adopt the British Triathlon Federation's "Safeguarding and Protecting
Children Policy" which we aim to apply to
all activities undertaken by the junior section of the club. Implementing the policy may result in some changes and we hope that you will bear with us as we wish to ensure that all children and
coaches are protected by making the necessary changes.
Parents of all junior triathletes must abide by the club's Code of Conduct for Parents/Carers which is based on the British Triathlon Federation's policy. When joining the club a parent or guardian
will be asked to agree to follow this code (copy below).
We also ensure that all coaches (and other club officials where appropriate) have completed up to date DBS check certificates (also known as CRB checks or Police checks).
Annabel Masefield and Richard Worth are the current Club Welfare Officers (CWO) for the club and can be contacted by email at welfare@juniorjerseytri.com.
If you have any specific concerns about the safety or welfare of your child or other children in the club please feel free to speak to a coach about it or, if that is not appropriate, discuss with
the Child Welfare Officer.
